Read timed out in Self Services

Dear Experts,

While accessing the self services in HR portal we are facing the following error's.

In WebSphere error log file's there are many error as mentioned below.

1. The HTTP request to the back-end system was not successful.

Timestamp:

Wed Sep 09 11:40:56 CEST 2015

Error-ID:

WebSphere_Portal_2_2_XXXX_1441791656670

Exception Type:

  1. com.xxxxx.xxx.portal.bpf.util.GenericBPFException

Exception Message:

The HTTP request to the backend system was not successful.

Root Exception:

Exception Type:

  1. java.net.SocketTimeoutException

Exception Message:

Read timed out

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2. Failed to fetch SAP Logon Ticket : Connection reset.

Please help..
