Report for unassigned GL accounts in FRS hierarchy in MDG 7.0?.

Hi Experts,

We are currently implementing Financial reporting structure (FRS) in MDG 7.0. As part of testing, we have maintained the FRS hierarchy by assigning FRS items and few GL accounts to it.

I would like to know if there is any report in MDG which gives the results of unassigned GL accounts in FRS hierarchy?.

For an example: I have created FRS "0001" using Chart of account "ABCD" in MDG 7.0. The chart of account (ABCD) has 100 GL accounts in MDG and only about 60 GL accounts might assigned in FRS "0001".

Is there any report in MDG which shows all these GL accounts with the status of FRS assignment? Or any report in MDG which shows only unassigned GL accounts in FRS hierarchy?.

Best Regards,

Damodar Naidu

    Hello Damodar

When you process the FRS request using collective process, you can view all the GL accounts which are unassigned as a warning. You can copy those in excel and generate the report. This is the only way I am aware otherwise you have to implement report.

    • Hi Kiran,

Thanks for your response. While building FRS hierarchy, I could see the option to assign GL accounts, but there the systems shows commonly all the GL accounts. Could you please guide me.

Apart from it, I have found a SAP standard report which gives the list of assigned and unassigned GL accounts. Here is the way to execute it.

Step 1: in NWBC, go to Financial accounting governance

      Step 2: Click on reports

Step 3: Click on Where-used list

Step 4: Entity type: Account, Select Edition, Chart of account.

      Step 5: Execute

Here we could find the GL accounts and relevant assignments to it (eg. Company codes and FRS). But the report runs for long, because of thousand of accounts. I am thinking to enhance this report to give results only related to FRS, but not with company code.

      Best Regards,
