Delta extraction from TCURR table

hello experts ,

I have requirement to extract the data from TCURR table to a DSO in BW.

Hence I am creating a Generic datasource on this table.

I was this datasource to be delta enabled.

Could you please let me know if I can use the field GDATU ( Date as of which the exchange rate is effective) for the Delta Option - Calendar Day ?

Please suggest if there are any other ways of generic delta extraction from TCURR table.

Hi Nisha,

Not sure what your requirement is but generally data of TCURR is never extracted from ECC using generic data sources. Use the standard ways to transfer exchange rates from ECC as Altaf wrote in 1st point. Create a process chain and transfer the rates.

Then create a data source in BW itself on table TCURR and then create virtual provider with real time reporting top of TCURR. See one document i found on SCN - .

if the need is just look ups then you can do look up top of TCURR table only instead of bringing data to a DSO. Another thing if you want join this table data in query with some other data; virtual provider can be very well use.

Hi Nisha,

It should be Calendar Day as the Exchange rate could be different every day and you will need it by day for an exchange conversion in queries.

Hi,

Step1 : A)Run a program RSIMPCUST in BI to transfer global settings.

            B)Run a program RSIMPCURR in BI to transfer exchange rates

Step 2: Create a generic data source on table TCURR from tcode RSO2

Step 3: Create a DSO to laod data from generic data source which created on TCURR

           In TCURR table exchange rates are maintained by date. If you want to pick only last rate maintained in a month to load, use FM CONVERSION_EXIT_INVDT_OUTPUT to convert valid from to date format and assign only Month and Year to your 0CALMONTH infoobject(which should be your key field in DSO), maitain aggregation as Overwrite in Rule details.

By using this method for one conversion only one rate will be maintained (last exchange rate in a month).

Regarding the delta yes you can use GDATU for the delta option.
