Dear all,
The system is SAP BOBJ 4.1 SP6 with oracle 11g. Normally I log on CMC page or change menu in dropdown list. The screen is loading for 5-10 second. But whenever the disk activity is full of Tomcat7 as attached picture. the screen is loading for 2-5 minutes which it is quite slow. I am not sure what to do next.
I have already done with 1816439 - General slowness with Business Objects Enterprise XIR3.1 and BI4.0 when using Oracle as CMS DB. But it still happens.
Could you please suggest me?
JAVA OPTION of Tomcat:

-Djava.endorsed.dirs=E:\SAP BusinessObjects\tomcat\common\endorsed\
-Dbobj.enterprise.home=E:\SAP BusinessObjects\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\

-Djava.awt.headless=true

-Djava.security.auth.login.config=c:\windows\bscLogin.conf
-Djava.security.krb5.conf=c:\windows\krb5.ini
Thank you a lot,
Ned
It seems to be a issue with the tomcat.
How many users\tomcat?
check the behaviour with any other tomcat, like use other env tomcat and current CMS name to loggin.

Hi Ned,
You could try to clear the tomcat cache with the following steps:
-Stop the tomcat from the Central Configuration Manager (CCM)
Navigate to the folder : < Install folder>\SAP BusinessObjects\tomcat\work\Catalina\localhost
Rename the localhost directory to localhost_old
-Start Tomcat
Note that it would take approximately 10 -15 minutes for the cache to build again and access the CMC/ BI Launchpad page.
Also, monitor and share the memory consumption of tomcat7.exe when you start to face slowness.

Sharvari
Hello,
the response times look good so far. So i think it is not a problem with the communication between the CMS.exe and the CMS DB.
First please try to delete the cache and re- deploy the war files.
As a next step please check the Anti- Virus exceptions (SAP Note - 1497394).
If your BIP runs on Window, please open the IE on the BIP Server and retry your workflow locally.
Regards
-Seb.
