Hi All, Im really hoping someone will be able to lend me some advise (in a non technical way as I am a user not an expert)
We have removed some materials from the planning hierarchy MC76/MC86 because they are components and not sellable parts and somehow the forecast for them was using the consumption for the component as well as the finished part that it was used in (so invariably double counting), so thinking that by removing them from the planning hierarchy this would also remove any associated forecast on that material however that has not happened and in actual fact the forecast is still showing for those removed materials and in most cases has increased the forecast.
To be honest I am not entirely sure that was the right way to go about correcting the issue of the double counting so if anyone has any advise for the components double counting issue as well as the forecast showing for materials removed from the planning hierarchy it would be greatly appreciated.
