Handling Unit Dimensions

Hello,

I would like to confirm the following point for handling unit update.

I have a case where I change the packaging material in VL02N for the handling unit, and I noticed that only Weight and Volume data are changed with the new packaging material master data, however the dimension data remain for old packaging material.

Is that standard SAP process?

Hi,

So the question is: you are changing the package material without re-pack de HU?

I think this is the standard behavior, because usually when we change de package material is necessary to unpack and remove the HU and re-pack in another HU (with the correct material type). If you use barcode scan the HUPAST t-code can be useful.

Hu Gian,

Yes the repack is done only by changing the Pack Material, the HU is not unpacked and deleted. So may be you are right the dimension data are not getting changed.
