Hello Experts,
I'm now using NWDS 7.5. I'm trying to configure AS Java server. I gave the hostname and instance number. After sometime, I'm getting the below error.
I cross-checked with basis and they confirmed that the host and instance number are correct. Also I'm able to access the portal successfully.
I have gone through some of the posts in SCN but still not found any concrete solution.
I replaced my jvm with SAPJVM 8.1(for doing this, I changed the eclipse.ini file to point to new javaw.exe under sapjvm bin folder.
Can anyone suggest any possible resolutions for this kind of an error.
Attaching the NWDS log file for reference.
Thanks,
Bhavya
Hi team support/ Rajendra,
I am able to do telnet with xxxx01.ics-eu-1.yyyy.com 50000 and get success.
Can you please let me know if there is anything else I should check to make sure the FQDN is proper.
Thanks,
Bhavya

Hi Bhavya,
Check your system host file and maintain the host name.
C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc
run ->drivers->etc->hosts open in notepad maintain your server ip and hostname with FQDN ,shot name.
After that open your NWDS and go to the Window->Preferences->General->Network Connections
here Active Provider :Manual type
Proxy bypass add host name and click ok.
After that follow this
window -> Show View -> Other, and select the Management Console.
Right click on SAP Systems, add system, and enter the hostname and instance number.

Durga Rao.

Hello Bhavya,

Hi Szabolcs & Juan.
Thanks for your replies.
I had already gone through the workaround mentioned in the wiki blog.
When I'm trying to add server through Management Console, it is giving me the same error as earlier. It is not asking for any credentials.
Could you please suggest any other reasons for the error..
Thanks,
Bhavya

Hi Bhavya,
You can try the following workaround:
Window -> Show View -> Other, and select the Management Console.
Right click on SAP Systems, add system, and enter the hostname and instance number. A pop up will
ask to enter an adm user and password, enter them both. Then go back to the Preferences, SAP AS
Java screen and your system will be there.
Please use administrator user to authentication.
Best Regards,
Szabolcs
