Hi - I have got 3 specific questions.

1) How do I verify whether all the views [with their fileds] in the material master are being considered without any field missing ? I

2) Where can I get a list of fields of all the segments of MATMAS05?

3) Can MATMAS05 be used along with SAP ECC 5.0 & 6.0?

Hi Vinay,

On the SAP Marketplace at https://service.sap.com/nw04installation. -> SAP MDM you can find an Excel sheet specifying the object type templates included with SAP NetWeaver MDM (including Material): Check the document MDM 5.5 SP03 - SAP ERP-MDM Field Mapping and Check Tables.

Thanks Markus,

I have checked it out.. its somewhat helpful, this way I will have to check field by field, Isn't there a relation between the material master view and the segment/fileds which will make the cross checking easier?

Can you also throw some light on the other 2 questions.

Hi Vinay,

For your Question 1: You can check the mappings in the Import Manager whether all the mappings are appropriate or not by clicking the Map Fiedls/Values tab and checking the corresponding mapped field for every source field. The "Import Status" tab displays a status report and also displays any errors in your mapping.

If you know all the above and looking for a "Check" functionality then, as per my knowledge, this is the only way that you can check your mappings as of now.

Rajani Kumar

Vinay:

If you find any fields missing or views that you would like to be handled via MDM are not considered in the standard business content, it is not a great effort to add them to MDM as long as they are considered in the IDOC Matmas05:

1) Add the field(s) in the repository structure

2) Map the field(s) in import Manager

3) Map the field(s) in Syndicator

Hi Vinay,

regarding a list of fields of MATMAS05 you can use transaction WE30 in order to see the structure of the basic type. With a double click on the segment you can go to the segment editor where you can find a list of all the fields of this segment.

With transaction WE60 you can have a look at the documentation of the basic type MATMAS05 (e.g. in HTML format) where all segments and fields are listed.

Best regards, Sylvia
