Hi,
I have a requirement as follows:
A test equipment is due for calibration on X date and its status is Blocked/not ready for Use.
Now if the user trys to record the results on X Date then system should give a warning / error message that equipment is blocked for Use.
Is it possible in standard SAP? if yes then how ?
Hope for prompt response.
Regards
If the equipment is being blocked, how is it assigned?

I believe you can set it up so you don't assign the equipement in the plan. But that the equipment is assigned prior to release of the order. I.e. the order/lot can't be released until the equipment is assigned to the characterisitc or operation.
It's been forever since I've worked with that. But I know we had cases where we had multiple units of the required equipment. If for instance you had 3 calibrated units, it didn't matter which one you used as long as it was ok to use. If you specified the equipment in the plan, you are locked into that one unit. But by specifying when you are ready to do the work, you can't use a blocked unit.
