How is Schema Mapping different from change Authoring Schema ?

According my understanding, after transportation of modeling objects from one environment (DEV)  to (QA)

Schema mapping is used when the modeling objects referring to same tables with Different schema names.

So,when is change authoring schema available in Quickview window  used ?

Hello Paruchuru,

the "Change Authoring Schema" functionality is used, if you wanna change the authoring schema of one or several information models (e.g. a calculation view) to a new authoring schema (for whatever reasons, e.g. adjustment due to naming conventions ...).

You do this on the Dev System and adjust the Schema Mapping if required.
