Using Decimal Values in the key figure "SUBPERIODSOFSUPPLY"

Former Member

Hi All,

I am working with "SUBPERIODSOFSUPPLY" key figure which is included into my scenario as per the requirement. I would like to ask that, When I am putting a non-decimal number in this Key Figure (SUBPERIODSOFSUPPLY),Supply is executing perfectly and I am getting accepted result. But whenever I am putting a Decimal (e.g - 1.5, 2.3) values in this key figure, Supply execution is getting failed with the error "SUBPERIODSOFSUPPLY does not contain decimal values". But in my scenario I have decimal values.

Is there any way to run Supply perfectly with Decimal values in "SUBPERIODSOFSUPPLY"?

Hello Pranay,

SUBPERIODSOFSUPPLY is time bucketed period for which demand can be grouped together. So you cannot use decimal values in this key figures. However you may use this key figure with SUBPERIODNUM to logically divide a period in certain fraction. For ex- SUBPERIODSOFSUPPLY  = 3 and SUBPERIODNUM = 2 can help to group the demand of 3 periods in 2 sub-periods(which means demand is built for 1.5 period)

Thanks,

Thanks Rohit

For the time being my requirement is taken care of by "Rounding Off" the decimals.

However the solution suggested above might not work for particular requirement (As the values can be changed over time) as detailed by me above.
