Dear Gurur's,

I have one general query.I require clarification for the same.

My Client requested to creat 2 new deduction wage types in infotype 14 -- There is no problem for creating this 2 wt's

My Query is , when we need to create CF/BF wage types. Is we need to create CF/BF wt's for each wage type that we create in IT0008/14/15 and other infotypes ? IF yes,Why we need to create the CF/BF wage type for every wage type ?

Please clarify.

Regards,

Sekhar

Hi Sekhar,

It depends on the business requirement. Normally we create CF,BF wage types for IT 0008 only. No need to create for Deduction wage types. In some cases we have to do CF,BF for some Additional payments wage types. so, we need to create for these wage types.

scenarios like in Employee F&F these will help to show in the payslip line items whether it is paid / deduction.

Hi Sekhar,

BF and CF wage types are needed to keep track of the net pay changes during months where claims are generated or when retroactive master data change could affect the wage types' values.

It is, in general, a good practice to have CF and BF wage types to facilitate easier tracking of wage type changes in the scenarios I just mentioned.  You can check the Note 1895407 which illustrates an example where CF and BF wage types could be very important for calculation purposes.

Hi,

Thanks for all the Inputs,

@Aman -- So,it should be useful if we create CFBF wage type's for each new wt's right?

Please confirm.

Hi Sekhar,

It might be a lot of work to do so, but it eventually pays off when you have retroactive changes or in cases where claims are generated.

A lot of customers only make CF/BF wage types only for certain custom wage types which they're sure would be used during retroactive payroll changes, so that they can get the most benefits out of the least amount of work, because coding in the CF/BF wage types behaviour for all custom wagetypes in PCRs does become a bit of a headache.

Dear Sekhar,

While running retro payroll,CF/BF bring difference amount and add in current month. And If you want to find the difference of individual wage types, then you need to copy the CF/BF wage types of each wage type.Basically, through CF/BF wage types you can capture the difference amount pushed into current month for retroactive payroll.

No it is not mandatory that we have to create CF/BF wage types.

It depends on the payslip design, when we have a separate column to show arrears values of those 2 wage types then only we will have to create else everything can be handled in standard system with the help of /5** wage types.

Once query is resolved close the thread as well.
