I have a functional location opened up (IL03).
I click environment tab and click "orders". I click submit, and this shows me a list of all the "orders" for that specific functional location.
Next, I copy the "order" list and go to a new transaction: "display PO's" (ME23N).
Under "display PO's" transaction I click "other purchase order" > expansion button next to "Pur. Order" input > "Multiple Select" button next to "order" and then paste all the "orders" I had copied. I click submit and many PO's show up.
My question is:
Is it safe to say that the materials (MM#'s) that I find under these PO's are specifically linked to the functional locations? In another words - these MM#'s found in these PO's can be added to the functional location BOMs?
How does the relationship structure work?
My guess: For one functional location you can have multiple "Orders" linked to it. And each Order can have multiple PO's linked to them. So, therefore, each "PO" that is linked to the Order's are indirectly linked to the functional location that the work order is linked to.
^ Is that a correct assumption?
But one work order can be linked to many Functional locations too? Correct or incorrect?
Someone please clarify the structure of Functional Locations, WO's, & PO's for me.
Thanks.
