Hello , We are in the process of planning HANA DB server maintenance, as part of that HANA DB will be shut down for some OS activity.
Our configurations as follows , we are running in a scale-up
Server 1 – Primary production server
Server 2 – HA Server
Server 3 – DR server in DR data center
DR Method : HANA System replication
HANA DB Version : SPS 10
Maintenance window : 8 hours ( All three nodes will be down during the course of maintenance )
What is the ask ?
Before we shutdown the production database , we would like to temporarily disable the system replication and enable the replication post maintenance so that it can catch up where it left off. is it possible to do that ? if so can you please share some steps on how to temporarily suspend replication prior maintenance and re establish post maintenance ?
We would like to avoid full replication of the Database to the DR site post maintenance due to network bandwidth issues .
Thank you
