What is multitenancy and how can it be of great feature to exploit in BO 4.1

Hello Everyone,

I have read about multitenancy in some blogs where they say  it can be used to create multiple tenants and we can restrict the view for these tenants sharing the single platform instance.

One second, I still did not understand what this means..   --We all have one single shared platform instance supporting various projects and have applied security on folders restricting various users from viewing other projects. Multiple tenants ( users) are already there, why use multitenancy.

How different is this multitenancy and at what scenarios could this be of use. Please help me understand!!

Hi,

basically multitenancy does exactly the same you did with permissions.

The tricky part is that you can build a template and apply this one pretty easy and fast if new projects/departments will be deployed on your single Environment.
