Service Contract In SAP C4C

Hi Experts,

We are working on service contracts, but we are not able to understand how can we use SERVICE CONTRACTS (screenshot attached) in C4C. I see no option to create new service contract. Can you plz help how can I create new ?

Hi Pragati,

Is your system also integrated with SAP CRM? Can you please verify your settings in the BC as in screenshot below.

You can also refer the admin guide for more details.

Hi Pavithran,

Thank you so much for your reply. Yes I can create new contracts I have all the settings in fine tuning and scoping done and don't have any integration with CRM. But the thing is I can't understand if we have only option to create contracts(from CONTRACTS BC)  then how can I create a service contract?

Secondly We have both "contracts" and "service contracts" facets in customer's screen. In Service contracts facet we are not able to create new service contract while in contract facet we are able to create a new contract. So how can I create that SERVICE CONTRACT?

Hi Pragati,

In C4C, there is no real difference between Sales and Service contracts. Basically, they are the same with a single object catering to both the sales and service processes.

From 1511 or so, the Contracts are enabled for sales processes also like quotes, forecast etc...

In Accounts/Customers, there is only single facet for Contracts called as "Service Contracts". You cannot create a new contract directly from this facet. But, instead you can create a Service contract as a followup document from Opportunity or Sales Quote. Hope this helps.

Can you please help me here one more time on Contracts feature. Actually the thing is we are able to create contracts from Contracts WoC But the thing is We're not able to find how should a Sales contract be created? Because all the time when we click on New button in Contract it always create a service contract. Can you please help with Sales contract as well?

It's a service contract and we are able to create it successfully and it is reflecting in Service contract Facet as well in Customer screen.

Hi Pragati,

Ideally, if you have scoped in, you must be able to create the same.

Can you also check if you are able to do a quick create from your Home screen (as highlighted in the icon in below screenshot).

Also, I dont see your screenshot. Can you please send across the same.
