SAP PO to connect multiple JMS IBM MQ instances

Hi, We have 2 instances of IBM MQ appliance ( First one is primary and the other one is backup during failover). We are using SAP PO 7.5 JMS channel to connect to IBM MQ, Is it possible to mention both IBM MQ servers in JMS channel and on failover SAP PO should automatically connect to available MQ server?

On JMS receiver channel I do not see any parameter where I can mention both MQ servers.

Thanks,

Amol

Hi Amol,

If second one is failover server then it should automatically connect when primary server fails as we use multiple server node instances in case of FTP/SFTP.

You can check that once . If its not then I will request you to mention two separate server details using comma/semicolon and have a try.

Thanks,

Apu

Hi Apu, The switch between the failover MQ server and main M server doesnt happen automatically as these 2 are separate instances and have their own application urls. I tried with entering both server urls separated by comma/semicolon but that too didnt work. Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Amol

Hi Amol,

Then there should be a load balancer or web dispatcher setup required at MQ side. The Load balancer/web dispatcher will route the request in case of application failure. This is not the problem of end system to change the configuration in case of failure the MQ system should able to switch itself.
