BI Data in Solution Manager.

Hi Experts,

We have Production system and BW system connected to solution manager. Can we have the BW reporting on the top of the solution Manager instead of using the BW system.

Right now we are getting the alerts based on the data in the production system and we want the alerts based on the data stored in the bw environment of the solution manager.

Not sure I get what your current situation is exactly but you have two options when it comes to where BW data of SAP Solution Manager is stored:

Inside the embedded BW of SAP Solution Manager

Inside a separate BW system

These options are visible in SOLMAN_SETUP in the basic configuration (step 2.1 specify SAP BW system).

Beyond that, if you connect systems to SolMan and you set up scenario's, the system either stores information of those scenario's by default in BW or you can have the option (depending on the scenario) to optionally store data. You can report on top of that data so if you use the embedded BW option and you're got scenario(s) set up against a managed SAP system, you can report on the BW data of SAP Solution Manager.

Configure BW client in your Solution Manager production client where you are configuring other monitoring templates.
