RE: Open item selected after posting some documents

Dear All,

GL account is created without open item management and posted some transactions to the G/L Account and it made it Zero.

now activated open item managed for the particular G/L account. user does not want to see previous/old line items of the G/L

Kindly advice in order not to see those old line items what needs to be done.

Regards,

Chandu

    Hi,

What does it mean? These are the postings on the account, right? Why would user not see them?

Obviously, you have to clear these old items, but it shouldn't pose a problem if you are saying that the balance was set to zero, when you activated O/I.

    Regards,

    Eli

    • 1) without IO they have created the GL posted some transaction

      2) In order to activate IO they cleared all the items and made the GL balance Zero

      3) Now they activated IO then posted some transactions

      4) when they run t-code FBL3N with only open items they can see all the line items as well which they dont want to see.

      5) When they select Open items they want to see only open items only NOT all the items

    Hi Chandu,

The open items which were posted before activated open item management they will display once you do following steps.

    1) Block the respected account for postings.

    2) Use program RFSEPA01 to generate line items retroactively from the documents that were posted.

    3) Unblock the GL account again for posting.

Kindly test first in development system. If the results are fine then go for Production.

Please let me know in case any issues.
