Copy function module from R3 to BW

Hi everyone,

i have heard that, we can copy a function module from R3 to BW. The Procedure is described as belows:

if we need the same function module of R3 in BW, we can create a Z-Function module, then copy the code from Function module of R3 into Z-Function Module in BW. then activate the Z-Function Module in BW and it will work.

Is that correct?

now i want to do the same for the FM: DETERMINE_DUE_DATE. i want to create a Z function module in BW and copy the code of DETERMINE_DUE_DATE.

is there any way to replicate Function module from R3 to BW? ( for example for DETERMINE_DUE_DATE)

Thanks

    Hi Pha,

In Import, Export otr tables you could have structures that are not defined in BW, so first you have to create them. If you do not create them the code will not be correct because fileds do not exist.

i fear this kind of funcion module can't just be copied in BI... you'll be missing to much structures/fields. But the approach is wrong. there is no benefit of doing this in bw instead of in ECC....

Add a Z-field in your extractor and call the function module in your user-exit.
