Datastore object in central repository

Hi All

I am wondering whether the Central repository will contain only the Production version of a datastore or can it contain DEV ,QA and UAT version.

We have three datastores with the same name CXL in DEV, QA, UAT and PROD.

Which environment's datastore should be present in the Central repository.

Do I need to maintain the configuration(DEV,QA,UAT,PROD) if I need all the three environments datastore version to be present in my Central repository.

How to exclude the Datastore when we want to check out any object. Can the datastore be excluded by the option Check out> Filtering

The best practice is the maintain one data store with multiple configurations.

In our projects , the admin, keep the data stores checkout out in his local repo. So other can't change the properties.

Data stores can be excluded using filtering
