Link Number of splits from routing operation with Number of Individual Capacity from Work Center ?

Dear Seniors,

We have a situation in which the number of splits in the routing operation is set as equal to the Number of individual capacities in the Work Center.

Please let me know if there is a way of linking the two, so that if the individual capacities are changing in the work center, the number of splits will automatically update in the routing operation.

Hello,

As I know this is not possible in standard SAP, and there is no tool to update number of splits in routing as per the work center.

One work center can be used in different routing so it is not necessary to have that all the products required splits.

You have to manually update the number of split in routing, you may create query for routing and work center to compare the number of individual capacities of work center and number of splits routing. If any mismatch adjust them manually.

I have done a test with the "Required Splitting" check turned on in the routing.

The system is able to pick the number of individual capacities from the Work Center.

Anyway, rescheduling the orders is necessary all the time after the number of individual capacities is changing.

Hello Alex,

Yes if you activated Split required in routing then split will be consider in your orders. However in routing it could not update the number of splits.

Yes you need to rescheduled  an orders if there is changed in master data.
