Global Variant - Bex Query

Hi All,

I have created a Global variant for a Bex report , and I did check the Variant settings in the Table RSRPARAMETRIZA ,

The Variant is appearing as Global.But now the issue is users are not able to see the Global variant I have created on a particular Bex report.

Can you please suggest whether do we need to assign any authorizations to the users?

Hi,

If you are using 7.x authorizations then S_RS_PARAM is the authoirzation object for Business Explorer - Variants in Variable Screen.

If in BI7 you are using the old authorization concept(3.x) then you need to give access to the authorization object S_RS_GVAR (Business Explorer - Global variables).

If the variant has been created in a workbook, please save the workbook and the variant would be in the list.

I did save the Query Variant.

But it is not visible to other users.
