Hi,

We have a multi source universe with Microsoft SQL Server 2012 and Sybase IQ 1.6 connections. When refreshing a Webi using this universe we get an error of session expired or server restarted.

Some times the Webi refresh but mostly we are getting the error message.

Our platform is BI 4.1 SP7

Here a capture of the error. Please any help will be appreciated

Hi,

Do you get this error for long running reports only or with small reports as well?

When you get this error, check if the APS hosting the Data Federation Service(DFS) has restarted or not (Compare the PID of the server before and after the error, if it has changed that means the server has restarted).

-Increase the -Xmx value of the APS DFS to 8g or 12g and check the behavior.

-Add -requestTimeout 720000 in the command line properties of the APS(DFS) and Webi Processing Server.

-Set the 'Enable JNI' parameter to 'No' in the 'cs.cfg' file (You will find this file in the installation director) on the nodes hosting the Data Federation Service. You can find SAP Notes regarding the same.

-The issue can be query specific as well, login to the Data Federation Administration Tool(DFAT) and see which query is executed when this error occurs.

-Make sure all the connections in the UNX are tested successfully and no errors should be there during integrity check.

Hope it helps!
