Note 1638715 not released ( BC 6 launchpad + native SapGui)

Hi, I'm using BC 6.0 PL4.

I have a launchpad connection and within it want to open the "Create Sales Order" tile.

Now I get the following message (in German, although I logged on in EN).

It says something like "Cannot use native SapGui, using SapGui for HTML instead. Look at Note 1638715 for further Info".

However, with this note I get a "Document is not released".

Any Ideas what to do?

when searching for the note here in the BC-space, I found which does mention the note, but not the fact that it's not released!

Hi Joachim,

can you please check again ? Now the note should be active, released and visible for customers.

As additional link I would like to provide you a nice blog which describes in detail how to configure remote systems in SM59 to prevent exactly that kind of problems.

Normally this popup is only shown if SAP GUI for Windows is not installed or something with the system configuration is wrong, so that Business Client does not have all relevant informations to start a transaction in SAP GUI for Windows and instead falls back to WebGUI.

yes, I can confirm taht I'm now able to see note 1638715 - NWBC authentication - SSO trouble shooting against ABAP (Version 12).

Hi Joachim, I checked the note again. It was released. But the current status is "For Checking" (see below). For me it is marked as active. Now I learnt activ ≠ released to customer. It will be released within the next days.
