Field overflow in routine WERT_SIMULIEREN

Hello everyone,

I am experiencing an issue during MIGO posting. I referred SAP note 139176, which explains that, this error can be resolved by changing moving average price of the material. However in our case, as the MAP is correct, business is not ready to change the MAP. My analysis is as below,

PO currency is USD and local currency is VEF.

Exchange rate in OB08 is very high.

PO price is 1700 USD / EA, PO Qty is 250 EA.

Below is the material master accounting 1 view screenshot,

As the material is having price control 'S', MAP is just for information purpose only but still business don't want to change the MAP. Is there any other way to resolve this issue, without changing the existing MAP ?

Thanks in advance.

you see that the field length is totally occupied and the value is close to get one more digit with the next receipt.

There is no other way than bringing the statistical value down.

Take your business into a kitchen, fill a glass of water to below the edge, now let your business add the next receipt. Hopefully they understand then what happens technically.

Repeat the experiment, but drink some of this water before you add the new receipt.
