SAP content server system copy SQLConnect failed, [SAP AG][LIBSQLOD SO][MaxDB] Invalid authorization specificat

Hi,

We just completed a system copy of our Content Server from PRD to QAS. We are running MAxDB 7.6.06 and Content Server 640 build 23.

I am now getting the error in CSADMIN when I view the repositories- SQLConnect failed, [SAP AG][LIBSQLOD SO][MaxDB] Invalid authorization specificat.

Is there a step in the authentication after a system copy of the Content Server I need to do to reauthenticate my repositories?

Additionally, one of the BASIS people found this when trying to create a new repository (I X'ed out our details)

X-ServerDate: 2016-07-26

X-pVersion: 0046

X-ErrorDescription: Cannot start Document request, reason: SQLConnect failed, [SAP AG][LIBSQLOD SO][MaxDB] Invalid authorization specification;-4008 POS(1) Unknown user name/password combination, Error Code: -4008

X-ServerId: server="xxx.xxx.xxx.xx";serverPort="xxx"

X-ServerType: SAP HTTP Content Server

    Hi,

this can be closed. I figured out the SAPR3 user had the wrong password. I reset the password everywhere and then the repositories began to connect.

    Regards,

    • Hello,

      Yes. Please close this thread.

Cannot start Document request, reason: SQLConnect failed, [SAP

      AG][LIBSQLOD SO][MaxDB] Invalid authorization specification;-4008

POS(1) Unknown user name/password combination, Error Code: -4008

This error means the Content Server is unable to connect to Database Instance.

The system expects a database user SAPR3 which will be created while

database installation together with content server installation. If

the database was created manually, maybe the user SAPR3 is missing.

You can follow SAP note 582765.

Also review the Solution section from the following SAP note:

1293399 - 500 (Internal Server Error) in CSADMIN
