BI Platform Support Tool Enhancement Request: Access Levels List/Matrix

Hello,

I would like to request an enhancement for the BI Platform Support tool. In 3.1, I have some scripts I can run which would generate a list of the Access Levels, and each permission that was granted/denied with Access Level Name, Right Type (Application, Content, System...), Category (Folder, Web Intelligence, Explorer, ...), Right Description (View Objects, Add Object, etc...), Permission (Granted/Denied). I could then take this and pivot it, to show in a matrix with access levels across the top in columns and rights along the left side and Grand/Deny as the value in the center.

Would it possible to generate this kind of matrix out of the tool, or at least a detailed list of All Access Levels and ideally if the permission is Granted,Denied or Not Assigned. If a list, similar to the Export Right IDs in the Landscape Tools, just expanded to an Export Access Level Rights.

Thank you,

Nathan

    Nathan,

The Access Rights enhancement will be out in the next version, it is currently being tested / developed internally. Keep in mind that BOE XI 3.1 is completely out of support and that the support tool will ONLY work on BI 4.x

    Regards,

    Ajay

    Hi Nathan,

Check under Landscape Tools --> Security Analyzer. This does partially what you are looking for. In the next patch (2.0.5) the access levels will also be available.

Could you have a look at this tool and let us know if further tweaks are needed to meet your requirements? Or you could send me your script and we can evaluate exactly what it is doing and work it into the BIPST client.

    Cheers

    Toby
