SAP PO | Graphical Mapping consuming the CPU

All,

We see AS Java threads being busy with tasks like XIMAPPING[com/sap/xi/tf/_<mapping_name>_|JAVA|...

This causes the CPU going to 99% and this for a few seconds.

Any idea how to avoid this? Is this due to sizing or parameter values on our SAP PO 7.4 system?

Thanks a lot.

Dimitri

Dear Dimitri,

Following note should help here:

1991275 - Execute graphical mapping in a single thread.

Maybe the full related thread dump will useful for analyzing as well.

Best regards,

Bence

Hi Bence,

The OSS note you mentioned looks interesting.

I will definitely have a look at it.

Thanks!

You have the mapping program name right? why not checking it?

Are you running your PI on a virtual machine?

What do you mean with checking it? What's the purpose and what you want to obtain?

Yes, it is running virtually.

Maybe the allocation of cpu cors to the PI server was limited to certain amount,

Maybe its time to increase it..

Are you processign exceptionaly large files?

Are you using XSLT?

are you using multiple maps in the same Operation ampping?

Is this happends during runtime or message test?

These kind of issues I have encountered in the past.

Hi Nimrod,

No, the IDOC structure is big, but not huge.

We use 2 different message mappings within the operation mapping. This was migrated from our SAP PI 7.11 system. I already opted for a review. Perhaps we have to consider it.

The high CPU load pops up at runtime.

Kind regards,

Dimitri
