SMP 3.0 sp07 - Agentry - Logon Ticket SSO - deactivated passwords issue

Hi All,

We are using Inventory Manager 4.2 on SMP3.0 sp07 and have configured Logon Ticket SSO against our Enterprise Portal using the [USER_AUTH_SSO] section of the JavaBE.ini file.

Our Enterprise Portal is configured to use CUA as it's AS ABAP backend data source and has LDAP integration enabled.

Thus users are able to authenticate to Inventory Manager using their Active Directory username and password. EP processes the authentication request and issues the Logon Ticket to SMP. SMP passes the Logon Ticket to the ECC backend for the Inventory Manager app, and the user is successfully authenticated.

The issue I am encountering is:

When the user's password is deactivated in the ECC backend - we get an invalid credentials logon error.

When the user has a password set in the ECC backend (any password.. and we do set it to be specifically different from their AD or any other passwords they may have),... The user logs in successfully.

Has anyone encountered this issue before? Obviously we would prefer to keep all business users passwords deactivated if possible.

Regards,

Patrick
