HI Praveen,

Please refer the SAP Note 457425 regarding Backup restore method of Live cache systems.

What is the version of your MaxDB? We have done successfully maxdb Restore from Prod to Qas using backup restore method.

Hi Gopi,

Thanks for sharing the note number.

Our MAX DB Version is 7.9.

I would like ask is only need to restore both Databases is the extra or any other configuration or any other is also there please suggest me.

Customer asking for some fixed few days back data for restoration, we have backup of Oracle but we don't have the Live cache backup of the same day.

Is it possible to do restore the latest backup-of live-cache with old backup of oracle?

Please suggest me.

Thanks & Reagrds,

Hi Praveen,

Restoring of Databases like Oracle and MaxDB are different. If we Restoring the backup from Oracle Live cache DB will goes to inconsistent state. In order to achieve that follow the SAP Note 640107.

in LC10 we can initialize Live cache. And then you can run the transfers from Source to get the transactional data.

Hi Praveen,

It is better to do this in Sandbox systems first. Do u have any sandbox in your landscape?
