Hi Gurus,

We have a scenario where have a Analytical Privilege created for calculation view say A. Now, this calculation view is in turn built using 3 other views B,C and D.

So now I have assigned myself the Analytical Privilege but when I try to view the Data using Data Preview I get the message as "insufficient privilege: [2950] user is not authorized". When I take the trace it shows that I don't have authorization for the other views B,C and D.

Please let me know how I can rectify the above scenario. We are on HANA version

1.00.123.0

Thanks,

Arjun Ragulan

analytic privileges determine, what data / which rows you can see, not whether you have access to a DB object.

If the calculation view A was created in defined mode, only _SYS_REPO needs "SELECT WITH GRANT OPTION" object privilege on views B,C,D. Your user only needs SELECT privilege on view A.

If calc view A was created in invoker mode, YOUR user also needs SELECT privilege on views B, C, D.
