Hi Guys,
Could anyone clarify if a New Relationships is possible to build in the system if a Organisation Assignment Info Type is saved with a Position Number using PA40 action. As the standard A008 relationship is created by default when PA40 action carried out.
The business requirements being, We need to create a additional relationship if someone moving into a Temporary position via PA40 Organisation Change.

Does anyone know how A008 is automatically created when IT0001 is saved? Just curious to know. Cannot see any codes in P0001 PAI modules.

When PA/PD integration is active:
The changes in PD due to a change in PA is by the interaction of the program modules in these areas, and is automatic; (this is similar to RHINTExx program execution when the PA/PD integration is inactive)
When a person is assigned to a position, the IT 1 program module calls a function to check PD data and return OU, CC, etc. You can see this in debug mode
As per SAP documentation the IT 509 is specific to PS in Australia.
You may try
- Activating it in your installation or logging an incident with SAP (note customers' OSS message is now called as an incident).
- Customizing and including payroll sub-schema AUHC which has functions to process HDA. See payroll schema QPS0.
In Australian landscape, infotype 509 is used for Higher Duty Assignment (HDA).
When a manager is on leave, another person from the same or different OU
- is assigned with HDA to the manager's position for a period of time;
- for this period
- - with CC = the HDA position's CC if it is different from the HDA person's CC,
- - may or may not have additional pay for the HDA
You may be able to use similar customized infotype with a maintenance module which will create this relationship.
Or use a different personnel action (similar to change of org assignment) with a customized relationship.

Thanks for the solution approach. Our IT0509 is not active. I believe even if we activate it, we need to change the Payroll schema to calculate the HDA differences.
I'm planning for a Difference personnel Action. How can we configure Customized relationships created using certain Action types? Cannot see the config sitting anywhere as a standard.
Basically, we need to have this new relationships for HDA, Temp Transfers, etc. Please explain the steps involved. Thanks.

Could you explain the purpose of the new relationship? If the position is temporary, the start & end dates of the position can reflect this. Why exactly is a new relationship needed?

you can change it. the old position will get delimited and new one will be assigned.
