SmartField will not be put in edit mode

Hi all,

Does anyone know why I might be having trouble getting my SmartField to render in edit mode? No matter what I do, it seems to insist on being display-only. My field is bound to a property from an oData model, which has an actual SAP oData service as its data source. I do indeed have the sap:updatable attribute equal to true in the metadata for my Property. I accomplished this by setting the property's "updatable" checkbox in the EDM in SEGW.

Any thoughts?

I created a test program by copying the SmartField demo from the Demo Kit and adapting it such that its mock server metadata is exectly a copy of my real OData web service's metadata. Also, the JSON file that it is using is exactly the output from a call to my service's getEntitySet operation. As far as I can tell, everything in the mock server is exactly like my real OData service.

As long as the manifest for this test component points to my mock server, the SmartField will render in edit mode. If I change my manifest to point to the real, identical OData service, the SmartField becomes display-only.

    Any ideas?
