Permit for Equipment

Hi Experts,

My requirement is:

I have an Equipment CRANE which has 2 assemblies.

1) Beacon light at the top of the equipment and

2) Lifting motor in a confined space.

I want to have 3 permits for the equipment.

1) Hot work permit- which is applicable for the whole equipment which will be issues manually.
2) If the Assembly is Beacon light then Work at height Permit should be recommended on release of MO.

3) If the Assembly is Motor then Constrain space Permit should be recommended on release of MO.

Please suggest me how to get this done.

Hi Renjith,

I guess this will be a complete custom functionality.

1. Create your required permits in IPMD (Work at Height Permit & Constrain Space Permit)

2. Create a custom table to link the Assembly with respect to Permit.

3. When the order is getting created, system should check the permits assigned to Equipment and Respecive Assembly.

If we had a functionality to add permit to Materials, may be this will require a small code change.
