No workflow work item is received in the Inbox

Hi sap family,

I have used standard purchase order release workflow (WS20000075) and i am currently using release strategy at two levels. The problem is the first user is recieving a work item in Inbox (In sbwp) but once the first user has approved, no work item is recieved in the inbox of second approver.

what changes i need to make in workflow? please guide. Can there be any Issue with binding?

Hi,

Have you checked the workflow log? Does it show anything? I would shoot there might be usual problem with receiver determination ?

Dear Tomasz,

I ran t-code swi1 and it showed no agent available for the second approver. the task TS20000166 is also set to general task. what i should see in workflow log?

Hi,

That shows that workflow itself is fine, so you should focus on the setup done for second approver. For example: is the release code relevant for workflow in Define Release Procedure for Purchase Orders -> Release Codes ??? It all depends on how you set up agent determination? Is it by user, user group etc.

These things you need to check.

HI,

On the left side there is a column for workflow setting? Is the value the same for both?

If you can't see the difference in the settings maybe you can figure something out if you take your PO and try to follow the WF steps using SWUS t-code? (last resort might be a need to debug this, but this will tell you where the settings is missing...)

The workflow for both the release codes are same (i.e. 1 ).

Hi,

Last shot I can think about - do you have both users somewhere in the Org structure in PPOM / PPOS t-code? (I think it is not obligatory but who knows). Maybe one is not added ?
