We are using internal order budget for controlling the capex asset procurement.
We have activated budget availability control for the order type.
But I think even if we do not budget the order, it will allow the posting. Right ?
Is there a way to prevent the use of internal order for posting if it is not budgeted ?
Dear Nikki
Please check the Define tolerance limits for availability control under the head of Budget and Availability control in SPRO. Thanks!!

What is happening is I created an internal order and did not make any budget in it.
I released this Order without budget.
Now I was able to make a finance posting with the order.
System did not prevent the posting on the order.
This should not happen. If there is no budget, system should not allow further posting.

These are not helpful.
If you enter the budget and release, system will check the amount for sure.
But if you create and release the order without any budget, system will not give any message or block the posting.
Hello Nikki,
Actually what you have described is because of the nature of availability control. The availability control of an order or a project can be activated in the standard system only if the order or (at least) one WBS element of the project has already been budgeted.
If you want to change this, please refer to SAP Note 599813.
Best regards,
Miya
