hi all

i am installing new distributed instance ecc6 on SLES 12 SP1 on Oracle, in the installing the DB it ask me about the scan listener and i do not know what is this can some one help please

Hi,

Run the below command in your primary RAC node.

srvctl config scan

It will give you the scan listener name and ip information.

Apart from this, you need to confirm the port number (in your screenshot, it is 1521, default port) with the following command.

srvctl config scan_listener

thanks i was using wrong option to install

This is rac scan listener, if you are not going to install rac, then you may enter wrong area.
If you will install rac, then put a scan name here.
