Hello,
I am doing the configuration for Account determination with MM.
I have two different valuation areas within the same company code. My customer wants to have different account determination per Valuation area, it means different GL Accounts per automatic posting.
However the system does not have the option to switch between different valuation areas. It shows only a small window with the information of the Valuation Areas but there is not way to select a specific valuation for the configuration.
The only workaround that I am able to think is to create a Z valuation category in order to assign a different GL Account, but I would need to create also a new Z type of material .
I have read documentation and it seems it is possible to have different account determination per Valuation area even in the same company code, But I am not finding the way to do it.
I would appreciate any comment or advise.
Thank you
Hi Gustavo,
You can maintain the different valuation grouping code for different valuation areas in OMWB. Based on the code you can maintain account determination in OBYC.

HI Gustavo,
You can use the concept of val.grouping code. Assign two valuation areas to different val.grouping codes. In this way, in GL account determination you can have different GL accounts.(valuation modifier refers to valuation grouping code) per valuation class.

Hi Gustavo,
For the mentioned screen shot, error is val.grouping code is not defined for valuation area 2000.
In your system Val.grouping code is active in OMWM. Check the assignment of Valuation area (2000) + company code (SJSR) to valuation grouping code. This assignment is missing in OMWD transaction.
Cheers,
