Semi-finished goods sales post Manufacturing

Hi all,

I have a specific customer requirement.

The customer wants to produce say 10 quantity but while he is producing he wants to Sell the Semi finished good which is produced in the same production process.

Example:

He manufactures Plastic bags.

Product lines:

Plastic bag 1 good quality : GX (FG)

Plastic bag 2 2nd grade quality : 2X (SFG)

The product GX is a finished good that is produced after complete production process.

The product 2X is a semi finished good that should come out while the production is still in process for the finished good GX.

(Semi finished good is also sold)

I have tried the above process like this:

Total production quantity of finished good GX is 10 each

In the Bill of Operations I have created two operations. After the first operation I have added the Semi finished good as byproduct and gave 5 quantity.I have also maintained Send a head quantity from operation 1 to Operation 2 as 5 each.

After starting the production process

I have got 5 quantity of Semi finished good(by product as I set) as expected and after complete production process the finished goods quantity received is also 5.

I am not sure if this is the correct process to handle. Please suggest if this is the correct process.

Thanks and regards,

S.Vijay
