Equipment "Valid From" get current value using ABAP or SQL

If I open a piece of equipment I can see the "Valid From" and "Valid To" fields.

In abap, how would I figure out the current values of these.

I know there are values on the table EQUZ, but there can be multiple records for the same piece of equipment.

How do I find the current one for a given equipment number?
