I am really fresh in working with SAP HANA Cloud Platform. I already enjoyed openSAP courses for SAP HCP & HCI.
I do still have some important questions:
1. If I want to build an analytical Application on HCP. Do I need to transfer the data from maxDB to HANA on HCP (performance)?
2. To get a better performance, do I need to map from row oriented to column oriented? If yes, which tool is used for that action? I know that while doing this to get ECC on HANA DMO is used.
3. How performance-intensive is the load of the data into HCP? Does it take long, if I would like to use a real-time-data-transfer(only HCI is used for real time transport or is it possible with Cloud Connector?)?
4. Can I choose whether the data should be loaded every day at a special timestamp?
5. Is an delta-upload possible - special timestamp?
6. and in general: Are there some best practices for building analytic apps on HCP? Is it better to have a real-time sync or do analytic actions on "older" transported data?
My aim is, that a external worker can go online with his iPad and see a live diagram based on data stored in his on premise system.
