Configure Webdynpro application to make it visible in ESS

Hi Experts,

We have a requirement to make webdynpro application (FPM of fpm_ovp) to make it visible in ESS as hyper link.

Do we need to configure in LPD_CUST if so under which role and instance and how we need to do it.

Kindly help me .

if u design webdynpro application you can get that application link from developer (abaper) and take that link and paste in lpd_cust by taking one new application and set it as portal page and save it it will work for u ...i will send u screen shot tomorow how u need to set that in LPD_CUST

I have the webdypro application name, could you please tell me in which role in LPD_CUST I need to

configure and how to make that access from Employee self service in portal.

@siva:we are using EHP6.

In LPD_CUST, standard is Role ESS and Instance MENU.

If you define some custom role then you need to create the service in that role and instance.

To create your custom fpm application service, refer the standard application in ESS role.

If it's wdabap application then just specify the application name in Application Parameters section as marked in above screen shot.

If it's FPM based then you need to specify application and it's application configuration names.

Hi Santhoshi,

No need to configure lanch pads in EHP7, create a portal role and assign the web application in role itself. E,g. leave request , personal information , payslip or any custom reports.
