Hi,

I created Analytic View which involves Currency conversion including all the TC SAP standard tables. For the information view i set default client as Cross client and when i try to view the data I get below error. Can Someone please help what could have been the issue. I have been to below post on SCN and I have done exactly mentioned in the post, but still getting below error.

Hi Nikunj,

In currency conversion wizard you can either set Fixed/Session client but not cross client as shown below.

Hence though you had set as cross client in View Properties, it takes given session/fixed client from currency conversion wizard for currency conversion. So please either set client at user level or provide a Fixed client value.

One more thing. Eliminating this currency conversion scenario, this Session client check will only be performed for tables from SAP having session client in them. So do I have to be careful while setting up the Default Client value in Information view considering that way they will be consumed?

Yes, based on the requirement of data, you can set the default client.

By default it will be set as Session Client, you can find more info in https://scn.sap.com/thread/3881086

What are these 2 other options then. Column and the Input Parameter. They should not come for deciding the client.

Also, I created AN an Analytic view with only TCURR table just for testing. And set the default client as Session Client. And when I try to view the data using the user for whom the client option filed is left blank, I am able to view the data. Which i should not considering that Session client will filter data based on session. I just don't understand this behaviour.
