Data load between same source and target in sap-bi 7.0

Hi,

Data load via data source 0RT_PA_TRAN_CONTROL happened on 26.06.2016 has some missing records .

Here source and destination are same. There are no errors in Infopackage and DTP i.e.no error records.

Request in target cube is green. But client says some of the records are missing in target BI system but corressponding data

is there in POSDM . How do I check for data in source and find the missing records and load them to target ?

Please advise.

Thanks in Advance.

Veena.

    Hi,

go to the all requests that are loaded on 26.06.16, check both cube and PSA request one by one, some times though request technical status appears in green, when you dig inside there might be an error and it might not update to target.

you can do data reconcile of that particular day from table /POSDW/TLOGS in BW, then compare the same with PSA and cube.

if data in TLOG table and PSA are matching, then you can do a selective deletion in cube (based on 26.06.16) and then run a full DTP (keeping filter value in date as 26.06)

Psnote :you can't do a full repair from this table

      Veena,

it looks like you missed some delta records, generally POS data is fetched to targets very frequently (like every 20 mins or so).. so there wont be a delta missing issue.

not sure how you missed delta, try to check all bad request of that particular day again from PSA, if you have automated it, then for bad request, there should be a "repeat delta" .

in worst case, you may have to identify the missing sales (either by store/ by store MCH), then get the data from your POS system and upload it again.

But be careful not to send the aggregated data to other systems (if data is sending from BW to other ERP systems).

    Hi,

You can try these tcodes for POSDM.

/POSDW/IMG - Customizing POS Data Warehouse BW - Point of Sales Inbound Processing Engine
/POSDW/MON0 - POS WB: Selection and Overview BW - Point of Sales Inbound Processing Engine
/POSDW/TSCH - Change Task Status BW - Point of Sales Inbound Processing Engine
/POSDW/TSDS - Display Task Status BW - Point of Sales Inbound Processing Engine

Have you checked the PSA for the missing records? may be it is available in PSA but in infocube due to some filters.

    Regards,

    Hi Veena,

You need to check the data in ECC with some transaction code(check with functional team) for certain period/date or pass the same selections in ECC t/code similar to see data in BW.

some times due to some restrictions those records might not flowed into BW or some times those records did not flow into BW due to some sudden outage in ECC.

First if you can find the missed records, based on them you can find the root cause.

    Thanks,

    Vengal.

    Hi,

By the time of infopackage execution time the data may not available.later it may updated from point of sale to POSDM. Check with the IS Retail team or corresponding team when data is updated into the source system and do the selective load from infopackage particular period and load same to the cube.

    Regards

    Vinod.
