HANA Hierarchy behavior in front end tools- when another attribute is pulled in

Hi All,

I am facing issue with the HANA hierarchies w.r.t front end reporting. Would appreciate if any one can share thoughts on resolving the same.

Issue: While using HANA view with hierarchy in Webi or Analysis edition for OLAP with just the hierarchy and measures the data display is as expected but when I pull in other attributes in the view beside hierarchy , each level of hierarchy displays all the rows of all its child and then a child shows up after them. i.e., parent displays duplicates of child 's rows.

Please let me know which parameter/settings have to be changed in HANA for expected behavior of the hierarchy :

Below is the sample table , I have hierarchy on Cmmt Item and Parent fields:

Cmmt_Item

parent

controlling area

cost

A

NULL

B

A

D

B

1

1

D

B

2

1

D

B

4

1

C

A

3

1

The hierarchy works fine with out any attributes:

Hierarchy

Count

A

4

-B

3

--D

3

-C

1

But when I pull in any attribute ( Controling area in below example) :

Current Behavior:

Expected Behavior:

My Hierarchy Parameters are as below:

I tried - Aggregate All Nodes- True as well.
