Indexserver of MASTER DB in MCOS

Hi Techies,

Recenlty we migrated few SAP systems into HANA from traditional databases, It's an MCOS installations and all the databases are migrated to their tenant databases.

After migration we observed that Indexserver of MASTER database in RED status and all tenant databases have their own indexservers which are running.

It's right that in such scenario, Indexserver doesn't exist at MASTER as nameserver plays a dual role. But here DBACOCKPIT and services always shows Indexserver of MASTER in RED. Can we disable this service permanently so that it won't appear in DBACOCKPIT or services (HANA Studio)?

Regards,

Nick Loy

    Hi Nick,

Any MDC(Multi Database container system) when installed comes up with a default SYSTEMDB Database which does not have an IndexServer service of its own

It is not clear by the description above why you had a SYSTEMDB with Indexserver service in first place

Can you elaborate the scenario with more details on the version used?

    Sunil
