Hi,

I have created one simple attribute view with joining tables KNA1 & ADRC. It is working fine and giving me correct data. With same tables when im creating a calculation view of type dimension im expecting same result but its not giving me any data. could anybody guide me any specific setting i need to make in calculation view to achieve this.

That seems work. could you please let me know how choosing 'cross client' brought the result even though i have single client in my system.

Hi Sudhanshu

Earlier you had setting of "Session Client" , that means you were only seeing data for a client ( MANDT) which is set in your user profile in HANA.

It seems, that client did not have data .

Now, you set it as "cross client", so basically you see data for all clients .  In production, if you have only one client in source system ( or you replicate only client's data ) , it would make same with both the settings.

explained it very well here . What is session client and cross client ? | SCN

that's what my question is. i have only one client and it has all the data so why should i set it cross client.

What is set in your Session Client ?  Security --->User --->Your user id

In my case, it is set as blank but I can see data with settings as "Session client" . However , I am on SPS 10 .

What do you see here ?

  1. Window Next navigation step Preferences Next navigation step SAP HANA Next navigation step Modeler Next navigation step Default Model Parameters End of the navigation path. Default Client ?

Hi Sudhanshu, Can you check if the Join type and cardinality are the same in both views?

Thanks!

Join type shouldn't be an issue as data in both table is correct. im joining tables with address number field and i can see common address numbers. Does cardinality really matter here?

Hi Rgds,

It should work fine, can you check your 'Default Client' in view properties?
