Hello Experts

Recently we have upgraded R/3 system from EHP6 to EHP8. We have observed that look & feel of WDABAP application when we start form SE80 are changed. Input fields have become little curvy. We tried using SAP-IE parameters with value EmulateIE8, it works in old way.

Could you please help us with document which has details about this new functionality.

Regards,

Sagar

Hi Sagar,

Maybe for you it is only enough to change the theme of the application.

The available themes:

  • sap_bluecrystal
  • sap_corbu (default value)
  • sap_hcb
  • sap_tradeshow
  • sap_tradeshow_plus

You can set is as a parameter for WDA:

Regarding sap-ie parameter, the recommendation is as Felipe said earlier: use the new Standards mode.

Thanks,

Gabor

Hi Sagar,

You mentioned using parameter sap-ie=EmulateIE8 renders everything on the old way. This probably due to your old system version rendering the applications in Quirks Mode by standard. Now it all renders to Standards Mode by default.

As you may know, only Microsoft is still supporting Quirks Mode, all other market browsers are using W3C and IETF compliant Standards Mode. For this reason, we advise you to continue using Standards Mode and the new look and feel. If you wish to revert to the old rendering mode, please note only IE supports it.

Felipe
