What is the best way of inserting a hyperlink (Hypertext) to a Phrase Text within the EH&S system via Transaction CG12?  Please refer to the document attached for details.

Thank you.

Dear Carlos

why not just maintain it..?? Issue is only: you must do per "language". Pleasecheck paralell thread

PS: in most cases you need no "mass upload" for hyperlinks. But if so: you can use OCC for import or EHS standard import

PS: Please explain the need of this hyperlink

Hello C.B.

Thank you for your reply.  Perhaps I was not clear in what I was looking for.  I have a number of SDS Phrase Texts that are stored on our "CUST" Phrase Library that are accessed via T-code CG12 (Edit Phrases).  I would like to add a hyperlink within a Phrase Text.  Within the Phrase Text, itself, there could be a number of sentences with pertinent information.  I was wanting to know if I could transform a particular word, within the Phrase Text object, into a hyperlink.  I hope that was clear.

Thanks.

Dear Carlos

not really clear (ma ybe 80%) I try we other way around:

We have three special options for "phrase" handling. One is used in DG only (using "exits" in the phrase (phrases as ".... &  ..." and two are used for SDS/MSDS purposes.

E.g. We have many texts as: "Store the product below ... °C ". the ",.." part is what we call a "placeholder" for some specific value, This value is normally retrieved using a second characteristic.

But i assume you would like to have something as "Text" (and the text (as Word e.g. does) have some "hyperlink" in background to whatever location..)).  This is in my opinion not possible.

The issue here is: the "phrase" approach focused on data maintenance and output of data in documents. Never SAP intended to establish such links.

I believe with some very very clever use of a "phrase" exit you can get may be some "workaorund"; but it is not like what you really like to have, a hyperlink not refering to a text is clearly possible.
